Our client, a leading Water company in the South East, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of water-related systems. Your expertise in electrical engineering will contribute to the delivery of solutions that meet industry standards and address the unique challenges of the water sector.
Job Requirements
* Significant experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the water industry
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
* Proficiency in designing electrical circuits, control panels, and other related systems
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
* Expertise in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD or EPLAN
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement electrical designs, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and regulatory requirements
* Scope writing
* Site visits
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and effectiveness of proposed electrical designs
* Create and review technical documentation, including electrical diagrams, schematics, and reports
* Perform risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for electrical design-related issues
* Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to procure necessary electrical components
* Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
* Maintain accurate records of design changes, project progress, and technical specifications
