Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
An opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our busy Facilities Team at Rampton Hospital working as a Facilities Assistant primarily in our Portering Department but on occasions within other areas of Facilities in particular our Transport Department.
Previous experience of working as a Porter in a Hospital environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Previous applicants need not apply.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
Main duties of the job
Working in our main stores, delivering and collecting items from around the hospital (linen, waste, goods, property etc), within the internal postal service, and help with office or ward relocations also working in our waste management centre.
There may be occasions where there is a requirement to support the Transport Department in the transportation of staff, visitors and goods to various other destinations away from the Rampton Hospital site.
Core hours are between 8am - 5.30pm, working 7.5 hours, 5 days over 7 days (including working weekends and bank holidays). Shift pattern will be discussed at interview.
