Milton Keynes College has an exciting opportunity for a Library Assistant to be involved in delivering library and learning resource services to offenders at HMP Winchester.
The role as Library Assistant has several key elements which include developing a high-quality library service within the prison, supporting and developing activities with partner agencies - such as the Shannon Trust “Turning Pages” scheme, Reading Ahead, and selecting and acquiring library resources in consultation with colleagues and users to enable a vibrant provision.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to assist in the day-to-day running of the prison library. If you possess excellent communication and organisational skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to promote reading to learners and provide a high standard of service to all library users.
The working pattern for this full-time role is Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am-12pm.
