Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The post holder will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of compliance monitoring to support adherence to Maternity, Neonatal, Gynaecology, and Paediatric quality & safety standards and other quality regulations, ensuring the escalation of risks associated with compliance is done so accordingly. This post holder will work closely with senior managers across the Trust, both clinical and corporate, and liaise with external stakeholders and agencies when required.
The post holder will support the monitoring of the Women's and Children's CBU specialty-specific action plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Experience
Essential Criteria
1. Extensive experience of advising on regulations, i.e., CQC.
2. Experience in the monitoring and measurement of actions ensuring that any gaps identified are addressed in a timely manner.
3. Demonstrable record of achieving challenging targets.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience of Governance and Incident reporting systems.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
1. Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable Criteria
1. Master's level qualification or equivalent experience.
Knowledge
Essential Criteria
1. Highly developed knowledge of regulatory and other best practice frameworks, underpinned by theory and experience.
2. Interpret national policy, research, guidance, and standards relevant to integrated governance and ensure relevant integration and application.
3. Able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and professions across the organisation.
4. Excellent presentation skills; be able to confidently deliver to any staff group both internal and external to the CBU.
5. Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
6. Detailed understanding of current healthcare policy and the implications of this for the CBU.
7. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
