Job Description
Your role will include:
* Ensuring the preparation of timely and robust monthly and annual financial reports and accounts.
* Analysis of financial data and KPI’s to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
* Lead the annual budget process and monthly and quarterly forecast processes.
* Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts and provide regular updates to management on variances, deviations and areas for margin improvement and incremental cashflow generation.
* Conduct analysis for proposed projects or investments, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
* CapEx investment appraisals.
* Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements as well as collaborating with external auditors during financial audits
* Reviewing and Preparing key balance sheet account reconciliations along with stock valuations.
* People Management responsibilities including performance management to ensure the smooth efficient running of the Finance Team.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the team:
* Recognised accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA or equivalent
* Demonstrable experience in a Management Accountant role in a business with c £50m Turnover ideally in a services and/or rentals business.
* Advanced Excel user and other MS Office systems.
* Familiarity with using reporting tools such as Business Report Writer and Power BI (preferred but not essential). ERP accounting software and multi-site ERP systems for business and stock systems.
* Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret and synthesise financial data.
* Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
* The ability to solve problems based on by taking into consideration facts and logic
* You will be solution driven with a "can-do" attitude.
