Traveling Merchandiser
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Be able to demonstrate and inform customers of the features and benefits of the product range to a high standard.
2. Arrive at customers' depots in good time to set up the demonstration van.
3. Arrange visits in conjunction with ASM's and BDM's.
4. Train customers' employees and management staff.
5. Clean and generally keep display stands in good working condition.
6. Assemble display stands and POS, banners, and literature.
7. Book and organise overnight accommodation whilst keeping within the company expenditure boundaries.
8. Daily and weekly maintenance of the display van, keeping to proper service intervals, and informing your line manager of any unexpected expenditure.
9. Capture data of installers and any other visitors to the van during trade days and exhibitions.
10. Be a good team player.
11. Deal with customer queries in a courteous and efficient manner.
12. Ensure company policy of phone answering is maintained, ensuring all customers receive a call-back on the same day.
13. Develop key relationships with local tradesmen and merchants to develop business leads.
14. Plan your diary electronically on your laptop/iPad and share it with all sales staff.
15. Upload information on the CRM.
16. Submit monthly expenses within 5 days of the previous month end.
17. Record customers contacted via the electronic sheet provided.
18. Inform BDM's and ASM's of any notable information whilst working at the customers' depots.
19. Provide the office manager plenty of notice when needing literature or samples & giveaways.
20. Check the van for oil, water, tyre pressures, and tread levels.
21. This position will involve many early morning starts and overnight stays throughout the working month.
Salary: £25,000
Requirements: Must be able to drive and will be given a company van.
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Full time
