Transformation Project Officer
Temporary role for 6 months (initial period) - Immediate Start.
We are looking for support with our new Budget Transformation Programme. As part of the role, you will work across the Council to develop and fast track a range of transformation projects to deliver efficiencies, from design and research stages to support with implementation and delivery phases, ensuring we have financial sustainability over the next two years. The support will focus on a number of service improvements and transformation projects in relation to Home to School Transport services.
You will play a pivotal role in project governance and will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure agreed project outputs are delivered to enable financial benefits to be realised. You will enjoy working closely with senior officers, Members, partners, and staff to identify and implement opportunities for rapid change, sustained improvement, and shape future savings programmes, with dedication, skills, and confidence to provide them with valued support to the programme. The ability to lead and deliver change at pace while gaining buy-in from stakeholders will be key, so excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a wide range of stakeholders, will be required.
As part of the programme, you will need to demonstrate emotional intelligence and awareness of the impact of change, working with colleagues to deliver meaningful transformation across a diverse range of services. We want someone with experience of managing and delivering projects and/or programmes as well as an enthusiasm for supporting strategy development, improving systems, and processes.
