We are advertising an Admissions Officer post. The role is primarily based at our Avery Hill campus, but the role holder will be expected to travel to other campuses as required. The Admissions Office is currently working to a hybrid model of a minimum of two days a week on campus, with the rest of the week remote working.
We are a growing, diverse central Admissions team, responsible for making decisions and processing many applications for admission to the University of Greenwich and dealing with related email enquiries from applicants.
You will be committed to providing good customer service and will have experience of working flexibly in a busy team environment under pressure to meet internal and external deadlines.
In addition, you will have the ability to prioritise and work efficiently, accurately, and consistently with large volumes of data on bespoke IT systems. You will have a close attention to detail, be able to create, organise, and maintain electronic records, and make timely admissions-related decisions consistent with agreed criteria. You will ideally also have a good understanding of level 3 qualifications; however, training is provided for both UK and International qualifications.
For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Mike Jones, Admissions Supervisor, at m.jones@greenwich.ac.uk.
The university is a brilliant place to work. We aim to become the top modern university in the UK by 2030, and our people are truly at the heart of what we want to achieve. We offer a great set of benefits including an excellent pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, flexible working options including hybrid working, and a genuine commitment to development.
We are looking for people who can help us achieve our Strategic Plan through the values we expect for our whole university community: being Inclusive, Collaborative, and Impactful.
To apply, please visit the University of Greenwich vacancies page and complete all details, including the supporting statements (please note attached CVs and personal statements will not be seen by the recruitment panel at the application stage).
Employment Visa: Under the UK Government Points-Based System scheme, this role does not meet the criteria to be sponsored for a Skilled Worker Route application.
We are committed to building a strong, diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
We encourage applicants to disclose experience of mental health problems so we can support them fully during our recruitment process and make any necessary reasonable adjustments. Any information disclosed will be kept confidential and separate from the job application form.
