A highly regarded, multi-service law firm based in Macclesfield is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to support a friendly and supportive property team. This role would suit someone from a legal administration or legal secretarial background, ideally with conveyancing experience.
Role Details:
* Position: Conveyancing Assistant
* Location: Macclesfield (Full-time, office-based)
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
The primary role is to provide direct support to your line manager and the department, enabling the team to operate at optimum efficiency. You will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative to facilitate the smooth running of the support functions within the team. The role is intended to support a Senior Fee Earner within the Residential team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaising effectively with clients and third parties over the phone, in writing, and occasionally face-to-face, providing advice and assistance.
* Chasing various documentation, including ID, mortgage offers, and searches.
* Keeping the case management system and any third-party websites up to date in real time.
* Preparing documentation required throughout the conveyancing process.
* Preparing completion packs for the accounts department, including completion statements and invoices.
* Handling post-exchange matters as directed by the team manager.
* Overseeing completions on the day of completion.
* Ensuring clients and introducers receive the best possible service at all times.
* General administrative support.
