Job Title: PLUMBER - Trade Plus Operative (Permanent)
Hours: 40 Hours per week + Out of hours callout rota
Salary: £31,308 per annum (Plus *Van, Fuel card, Uniform & Tools provided)
Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich, the role will be out working across the stock of Weaver Vale Housing Trust’s core locations: Warrington and Cheshire

The Opportunity
Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to commence their career with a great company. We are looking for a driven, diligent, and friendly PLUMBER to join our Property Services team.
What Will You Do?
To carry out Responsive, Cyclical, Void and Planned Repairs and Maintenance Works including adaptations to various types of properties for Weaver Vale Housing Trust and its commercial subsidiary Weaver Horizons. This work will include carrying out reactive maintenance to customers home and void properties such as finding and repairing leaks internally and on external water mains, replacement of taps, showers, and WC parts, replacements of baths and sink units, repair and replacement of guttering and SVP, kitchen units including small areas of tiling. It may also include working as part of a team replacing full kitchens and bathrooms.
The working week will consist of 40 hours, and these hours will be worked between the hours of 08:30 am and 5pm Monday to Friday. In addition, you will be required to participate in the Trust callout rota and work within a 30-mile radius of Gadbrook Point, Northwich.
Minimum Requirements For This Role*
• Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship to City and Guilds, NVQ to a minimum of level 2 or equivalent qualification standard in plumbing.
• Willingness to undertake further qualifications in areas such as health and safety and general management.
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Working in domestic or commercial environment for building works
• Ability to complete basic roles in other trade skill sets
• Good knowledge of best working health and safety practices and legislation including CDM.
This role will require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
