About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Support Manager to oversee the delivery of a large-scale grounds maintenance contract across over 600 sites in the West of England, including Bristol, Bath, and Somerset. In addition to grounds maintenance, the role will involve managing contracts related to cleaning, window cleaning, and waste removal services.
You will work as part of a strong Estate Services team, ensuring contractors deliver high-quality services and meet specified standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Arranging and attending review meetings with contractors and stakeholders
Regular meetings with contractors' staff
Scrutinising and preparing KPI data and other contract performance reports
Detailed record-keeping and on-site monitoring of contractor performance
Ensuring work is delivered to specification and safety standards
About You:
You will bring a combination of expertise in contract management and strong customer service skills to this role. The ideal candidate will have:
Good knowledge of amenity horticulture
experience in client-side grounds maintenance contract management
Experience managing contracts for cleaning, window cleaning, and waste management services (Desirable)
Prior experience in the Housing or Local Authority sector (Desirable)
A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and contractor safety compliance
High attention to detail, especially in handling data
Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Excel and Word
Confidence interpreting maps and specifications, with experience using GIS mapping tools
Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
Flexibility in approach and commitment to continuous improvement
