About the Role
To support our expanding business in the UK, we are looking for a proactive, hands-on warehouse supervisor. Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking Mandarin Chinese and English. This position is perfect for a logistics specialist who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and is keen to contribute to a changing, technologically advanced warehouse. You will be in charge of our warehouse’s daily operations, lead a varied workforce, and contribute significantly to the advancement of operational excellence in both B2B and B2C contexts.
Principal Duties
* Daily Operations Management: Supervise and plan the receiving, storing, order picking, packing, and dispatching processes in the warehouse.
* Inventory control: Efficiently manage inbound and outgoing stock movements and ensure accurate stock levels through routine cycle counts and comprehensive inventory audits.
* 6S Implementation: Uphold strict guidelines for the warehouse’s safety, order, and cleanliness.
* WMS System Oversight: Oversee the Warehouse Management System’s (WMS) functioning and ongoing development; guarantee accurate system data and timely updates.
* Plan and oversee team rosters, assign work, conduct on-the-job training, and implement performance-based KPIs as part of team supervision.
* Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks; evaluate and improve warehouse procedures on a regular basis.
* Reporting: Create and deliver operational reports on a regular basis that include cost analysis, event logs, and productivity measures.
* Compliance: Follow and implement health and safety guidelines in accordance with business policy and UK laws.
Needed Requirements
* Legitimate UK work permit (spouse visa, indefinite leave to remain, etc.)
* Three years or more of experience managing a warehouse
* Demonstrated aptitude at overseeing B2B and B2C warehousing operations
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and popular WMS platforms
* Forklift Licence: Preferably a Flexi or Counterbalance certificate
* Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking Mandarin Chinese and English
Pleasant to Have
Experience in global 3PL operations or cross-border eCommerce.
Knowledge of foreign shipping procedures or customs clearance.
