Operations Manager play a crucial role in the operations team and is responsible for supporting the Director of Operations by overseeing the day-to-day operational aspects of the school, ensuring smooth running of classes, student welfare, facilities management, and administrative tasks, all while adhering to quality standards and compliance regulations within British Council Accreditation.

Key Responsibilities
· Operational Oversight
* Supporting and coordinating logistics for summer centres including airport transfers, activities and excursions, accommodation and facilities plus recruiting homestay families.
* Designing standard and customised programmes for the clients (both year-round groups and summer groups).
* Designing, developing and reviewing the effective procedures for the management of the summer schools, adhering to British Council/ English UK regulations and Health and Safety Law.
* Administrative Tasks:
* Daily communications with the educational travel agencies abroad about their queries about each summer centre, discuss and quote for the special requests, programmes and services they require.
* Liaise with Director of Operations, developing new products/ services by communicating with external service providers, such as universities/ colleges, coach companies and ticket vendors.
* Managing budgets by collecting accurate costings for both summer camps and year-round groups.
* Creating marketing materials, staff training materials and develop comprehensive school policies and procedures.
* Staff Management
* Supporting the Director of Operations in recruiting activity leaders and onboarding (staff training).
* Coordinating activity leaders schedule and workload distribution.
* Providing administrative support to the academic team.
* Appraisal: monitoring staff performance and delivering feedback.
* Student Management
* Assisting student admissions and registration processes.
* Liaise with the Director of Studies in preparing the schedules.
* Addressing agencies/students’ concerns and resolving issues.
* Safeguarding
* Being a DSL during the summer in dealing with emergency situations.
* Advise and provide support in relation to any safeguarding issues and low-level concerns.
Education and/or Experience
* A bachelor’s degree in any subject areas, preferably in education.
* A minimum 2 years of experience working with children or teenagers aged between 8 to 17 years old.
* A minimum 2 years of experience working in language school operations, particularly summer operations.
Language Skills
* A C1/C2 proficiency in English is mandatory.
* Ability to speak other languages is desirable.
