Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Design Engineer to join our team and develop innovative packaging solutions.The Design Engineer Role This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a foundation in engineering design who is eager to develop their skills further. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual with experience in 3D CAD software. While prior experience with Creo is beneficial, we offer training for those proficient in other design software. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, contributing to the design and development of protective packaging solutions.Design EngineerKey Responsibilities
3D CAD Design: Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for protective packaging solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, and project teams to ensure designs meet functional and cost requirements.
Client Support: Assist in understanding and translating client needs into effective design solutions.
Quality & Detail: Develop designs that meet industry standards and undergo internal reviews for accuracy.
Problem-Solving: Support in troubleshooting design challenges and optimising solutions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, specifications, and revisions.
What We’re Looking For
Some experience in a design engineering role or a relevant qualification (Degree, HND, or equivalent).
Familiarity with 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Training will be provided for Creo.
A keen interest in engineering design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Applicants must reside within the local North Devon area (or a sensible commute to our offices in Barnstaple).
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
