Electrical Engineering Lead - South Wales

We are assisting a leading contractor providing cutting-edge solutions, committed to excellence, innovation, and reliability, who is urgently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead in South Wales. As Electrical Engineering Lead, you will lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems across various projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, hands-on experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, specifications, drawings, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Work closely with project director, clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall project designs.
3. Preparation and coordination of drawings covering all electrical installations ensuring alignment to project specifications & standards.
4. Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems.
5. Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports/submittals, and project updates.
6. Ensure all electrical engineering activities and equipment validation comply with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
7. Participate in meetings as needed and contribute to the best of your knowledge.
8. Prepare detailed technical documentation ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree/qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
2. Significant years of experience as Electrical Engineering Lead, preferably within Hyperscale Data Centre projects.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
4. Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Strong understanding of power systems, circuit design, control systems, and energy efficiency.
6. Proficient in Electrical Engineering software & tools such as MS Word & Excel.
7. Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
