The role

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our People Department as a Talent Acquisition Adviser (Volume).
Sitting within Talent Acquisition, our volume team look after recruitment related activities for Student Officer routes, PCSO’s, DO’s, Transferee’s, and Special Constables in our multi disciplined team (staff and officers mix).
The purpose of this role is to support the planning, attraction, selection and onboarding programme for all volume and transferee recruitment, ensuring the force benefits from a more diverse and capable operational workforce with a range of skills, knowledge and backgrounds that can meet business needs.
What you’ll do
1. Support an effective and efficient volume talent acquisition service by embracing new recruitment methodologies and modernising talent acquisition and onboarding. Placing new employee experience and value at the forefront of service delivery.
2. Develop an in-depth awareness and understanding of the workforce plan. Working closely with the Resourcing Team and wider stakeholders to support the recruitment planning and forecasting to fulfil organisational requirements. This includes the need for solid data management related skills and a flexible approach to processes.
3. Contribute to and support an effective and strong employer brand and attraction strategy, using your knowledge of volume recruitment strategies and market insight and trends, to position Northumbria Police as an employer of choice, further enhancing interest in policing as a career. Working with the Sergeant Talent Acquisition, Comms and Engagement and Positive Action, to ensure Northumbria Police is well represented externally and has a sufficient outreach plan to support attraction efforts.
4. Influence and inform the development of key performance indicators to evaluate gaps and trends to help influence future talent acquisition strategies for volume recruitment to positively impact candidate experience, hiring manager experience and efficiencies.
