Role Overview
Title: Financial Advisor
Locations: France (Alps/Provence), Spain (Catalonia/Tenerife), Malta, Portugal (other European locations may be considered)
Reporting To: Regional Directors
Key Responsibilities
1. Assess and document clients' financial situations, goals, and risk tolerance to create tailored financial plans.
2. Advise on investment strategies, tax-efficient structures, and cross-border financial solutions.
3. Review client documents (e.g., tax returns, insurance records, wills) for comprehensive financial planning.
4. Conduct face-to-face reviews using risk-profiling methodologies to align recommendations with clients' objectives.
5. Manage existing clients' financial planning needs, providing ongoing portfolio reviews and relationship management.
6. Support Partners in acquiring new business through prospecting, networking, and maintaining robust client relationships.
7. Implement financial planning recommendations and oversee any adjustments to clients' investments.
8. Stay current with relevant financial products, international regulations, and legislative changes.
9. Ensure compliance with “Know Your Client” (KYC) and other regulatory requirements.
10. Act as a brand ambassador, educating clients on new products and significant legislative updates.
Ideal Background
Qualifications:
Minimum Level 4 UK Financial Advisor certification (or equivalent).
Experience:
3-5+ years' experience in financial advisory, banking, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in business development and sales (“Hunter” profile) and/or proven track record of high-quality 360 delivery and client retention (“Farmer” profile).
Strong technical knowledge in investments, pensions, trusts, and international tax.
Skills & Attributes:
Ability to cultivate and sustain long-term client relationships.
Excellent sales, networking, and communication skills.
Methodical approach to complex financial planning.
Familiarity with expatriate markets and cross-border relocation processes.
Package & Benefits
Compensation (Hunter Focus):
Base up to €60,000 base + €20,000 quick starter bonus (KPI based) + relocation package.
Top earners (5+ years' experience) can reach €350,000-€500,000 annually, based on performance.
Compensation (Farmer Focus):
On-target earnings around €100,000, with potential total package in the €120,000-€130,000 range.
