Job summary Preston, Chorley and South Ribble, Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT) are seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity and the successful candidate will be part of an evolving service that has the needs of the older adult population at its heart. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about older adults to come and join a forward thinking, and constantly developing team.The team provides high quality care working with older adults with dementia or significant functional / psychological mental health needs, ensuring they have access to timely, intensive and specialist mental health care. We also work with families and carer's and alongside other agencies to promote well-being and support for individuals and their carer's / families. Main duties of the job You will be required to work the hours of 8am - 6pm over a 7 day service Although this role is for Home treatment function of RITT, you could be required to work across into the care home liaison function of RITT which specialises in supporting patients in care homes with dementia experiencing BPSD (behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia). You will have excellent clinical skills along with outstanding communication skills. You will also need to have a working knowledge of assessing risk and developing robust risk management plans. Whilst with the team there will be opportunities to develop your skills. You will be supported through appraisal to identify learning and development needs and progress in the role. There are regular CPD sessions held at Charnley fold on various topics. As a trust we promote and support flexible working options.
