As part of this pioneering role, you’ll be leading and delivering an engaging and high-impact programme in composite manufacturing for a range of learners, from Level 2 to Higher Education Level 4 and above. You’ll teach both theory and practical techniques, including pre-preg, wet layup, and resin infusion, and assess all aspects of your learners' progress across campus and on employer sites. With Yeovil College continuing to invest in the latest technology and curriculum design, you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and forging strong partnerships with employers. From managing work-based learning to delivering high-quality training, guidance, and assessment, you’ll help shape bespoke programmes that meet the needs of learners and industry alike, with a particular focus on the exciting field of composite engineering. This is more than just a teaching role; it’s a chance to shape the future of engineering education and be part of something extraordinary.
What we're looking for:
1. Previous experience using a variety of composite materials and manufacturing methods.
2. At least two years’ technical experience within a composite engineering environment.
3. A level 4 qualification in Engineering.
4. A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
5. A passion for supporting students to learn and develop new skills.
6. The ability to work successfully within a team.
7. Committed to continued research within the sector.
8. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
9. Proactive in initiating, developing and implementing new ideas and developments.

1. Annual Salary: £38,754 up to £44,212 depending on experience.
2. Full-time position, 37 hours per week, all year round.
