Band 5 Occupational Therapist - Rotational

About us
Our team provides an Occupational Therapy service to Oban, Lorn and neighbouring islands on the north-west coast of Scotland. We are an Integrated Occupational Therapy Team who are based in the hospital in Oban and work primarily with the adult population in both in-patient and community settings. We also provide a community visiting service to the inner Hebridean islands including Colonsay, Coll and Tiree and have a small Occupational Therapy team based on the island of Mull. Peer support is provided by our very experienced Occupational Therapy team with a broad range of specialisms and areas of special interest and CPD is fully supported.
About the role
This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 5 to join our Integrated Occupational Therapy Team. This post is rotational and offers experience of working in an acute hospital setting, in community and with reablement clients with the appropriate level of support and training provided.
About you
Highly motivated and confident, great interpersonal skills, good communication skills, Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registered, full UK driving licence.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
