You will need to be a Children’s Social Worker and be registered with Social Work England. In this role you will be developing and delivering a coherent model of support and challenge in relation to social work practice development through training, group work and 1-1 support. Working as part of a small team you will help to further embed our departmental practice framework Signs of Safety and ambition to be trauma informed children and family department. About You To apply for this post, you must: You will need to be a Children’s Social Worker and be registered with Social Work England. You will have a high level of experience working with children and families within children’s social care, with substantial breadth of practice and depth of experience across a range of areas. Demonstrable knowledge and skilled application of Signs of Safety and be able to describe the practical application of the tools and disciplines to affect lasting change. Demonstrable knowledge of trauma informed practice and what this means for working with children and families and our workforce and the practical application of this approach. Evidence of coaching/mentoring and supporting workers to develop their practice and confidence and experience of training others. Experience of challenging inadequate practice to support improvement. Extensive knowledge of key areas of practice including whole family working in safeguarding children and managing risk. You will be up to date with the National Changes and how this will affect Social Work Practice going forward. You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
