Role Purpose:

Your key responsibilities will be:
Motivate and empower clients to make changes toaddress their addiction.
Explainto clients the principles of the nicotine and Stop Smoking Service to enablethem to make informed - choices.
Deliverevidence-based stop smoking interventions, these include one to one, drop in,group sessions, telephone, or on-line support, these must be in accordance withthe NCSCT Standard Treatment Programme.
Workwith other professionals to embed smoking cessation as part of routine client care.
Maximisethe impact of smoking cessation on health gains and reduce health inequalities.
Tounderstand the analysis of health and equalities data including service dataidentifying local need to inform local service need.
Providea high quality, efficient and cost-effective services throughout a diverserange of community settings.
Lead peersupport group sessions for successful quitters following intervention toprevent relapse.
Provideevidence-based education in all aspects of smoking cessation and behaviouralchange as well on-going motivational support.
Work withindividuals to set realistic sustainable goals.
Ensure allclient and service records are up to date, accurate and satisfy the ABL Healthdocumentation policies.
You will be a motivated, passionate, organised, and proactive individualwith significant experience in smoking cessation or addiction.
This role will be demanding as services develop and should becomeintegrated in all settings. It will be essential that you use your ownjudgement to prioritise competing demands and workload effectively to specifictimescales.

1. Relevant degree or diploma in (health/social care/public health/ health Improvement) or professional registration (RGN)

2. Certified NCSCT practitioner or ability to attend training in the first month

4. Experience of working with people and support them through behaviour change techniques
5. Experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds, including areas of deprivation
