* Collaborating with Senior Finance Managers and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure effective and controlled implementation of changes.
* Providing technical support to finance teams to enable accurate and consistent data extraction and reporting from core systems, minimizing manual data entry.
* Ensuring data structures are consistent and optimized across various systems and databases used within the Finance function.
* Designing, analysing, and maintaining processes and procedures to document data structures clearly and concisely.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* A graduate in Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field is desirable.
* Experience in a development project within a Finance function.
* Proficiency in data programming and visualization tools such as SQL, VBA, and Python.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver under pressure and provide informed responses in short timeframes.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders.
* Experience with relational databases (e.g., Sybase ASE, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Not Only SQL databases (e.g., InterSystems Cache).
* Familiarity with ETL /ELT Tools (e.g., Wherescape, Alteryx, Birst, Streamsets, Informatica PowerCenter) and BI/Reporting Tools (e.g., Birst, Tableau, BusinessObjects).
* Knowledge of general programming (e.g., Python, R, Java, C#) and Big Data Platforms (e.g., Cloudera Data Hub).
Benefits
We reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you:
* The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes.
* Life assurance.
* Private medical insurance (permanent employees only).
* At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday.
* Competitive family leave.
* Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice.
