We are seeking a skilled and experienced staff counsellor to join the counselling team. The post holder will coordinate and deliver a confidential counselling service to staff, complying with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, autonomously managing a specialist caseload to ensure that support for staff is delivered at the point of need.
You will have a recognised counselling qualification and a minimum of two years’ post qualifying counselling experience, together with in-depth knowledge of the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions. BACP accreditation and knowledge of working within a higher education context would be an advantage.
This position involves working with vulnerable people and therefore requires compliance with the University’s Safeguarding Policies, including the requirement for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to the commencement of employment. The University is committed to stringent Safeguarding practices, including in its practices around the recruitment and selection of staff, to positions which involve working with vulnerable people. The successful candidate will be required to complete AUB approved Safeguarding Training.
