We are currently hiring TRS Service Technicians for rotational positions.
Job Summary:
A TRS Service Technician is responsible for the safe and professional operation of casing running equipment at various rig and field sites. This role involves maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with quality standards. The position primarily involves work within the UK sector, with potential overseas travel as operations require.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in operations according to customer requirements.
2. Test and verify that all equipment functions correctly and according to procedures.
3. Ensure all equipment is received properly; prepare delivery tickets, job reports, timesheets, and other administrative documents.
4. Operate casing/tubing equipment, including running and pulling.
5. Independently test, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot company equipment and tools.
6. Maintain equipment in good condition.
7. Pack equipment safely for storage or shipment onshore.
8. Rig up, run, and rig down various components on drilling rigs.
9. Promote our services and products.
10. Communicate clearly and professionally with rig personnel, customers, and colleagues.
11. Follow safety rules and procedures; report incidents, unsafe behaviors, and hazards.
12. Participate in emergency drills.
13. Attend pre-job meetings and contribute positively to ensure high-quality service for our customers.
14. Maintain a safe working environment by using PPE, checking tools and equipment, and keeping the work area organized and hazard-free.
15. Ensure workmanship meets company, customer, and regulatory standards.
16. Report hazards or workplace issues promptly to supervisors.
Competence Requirements:
* Formal technical background with extensive knowledge of Tubular Running Service (TRS) components, including manual handling equipment, power tools, remote-operated systems, and thread monitoring systems.
* Experience with hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
* A mechanical background is preferred but not essential.
* Training in accordance with the competence matrix for TRS personnel.
