Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charitable organisation based in London who are looking for a specialist recovery worker to work on an ongoing locum basis within their young persons and family service in Enfield.
Within your role as a recovery worker within this service you will be providing targeted and specialist interventions based on the whole family approach to children, young people, parents, carers & families who have been affected by drug or alcohol use.
Key Duties for the role include but are not limited to:
1. To deliver a range of high quality direct and indirect services to support the needs of children, young people, parents, carers and families in relation to problematic substance use and recovery, through assessments, group work facilitation, recovery planning, case management and one to one interventions.
2. Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing on-going recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
3. Conduct initial triage and comprehensive assessments with children, young people, parents & carers.
4. Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
5. Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community.
6. Lead effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans, safeguarding assessments and plans. This includes the effective use of an online case management system.
7. Work closely and collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team across the service and externally, providing advice and reports/ information to managers and other colleagues, through attendance at reviews, team meetings, supervision and via telephone conversations.
In order to be considered for the role it’s imperative you have a proven track record of working within the drug and alcohol sector and specifically hold experience of working a recovery worker role in the past/currently. Due to the nature of the role you will need experience of delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions & the ability to implement interventions based on the whole family approach.
