There are plentiful opportunities to become involved in clinical research within the transplant program. You must hold MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification and have completed FRCS (C-Th) or equivalent. You must have at least 24 months' experience in cardiothoracic surgery and be registered with the GMC and it is mandatory to have experience in cardiothoracic organ retrieval.
