Learning Support Assistant – Alternative Provision (Torquay)
Start Date: After the Easter Half Term – End of the Academic Year

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join an Alternative Provision in Torquay. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to education.
As an LSA, you will:
1. Support students within the provision, helping them engage in learning and personal development.
2. Provide a nurturing and structured environment to build confidence and trust.
3. Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to develop strategies that will enable students to reintegrate into mainstream education.
4. Offer emotional and behavioural support, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or support role.
2. A patient and compassionate nature, with a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
3. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships.
4. A desire to support young people who may have faced barriers to their learning.
