We are recruiting a DDQ Writer to join a dynamic and collaborative team of writers. The role is pivotal in supporting the ongoing servicing and retention of Baillie Gifford's existing client base, by co-ordinating quarterly, bi-annual, annual or ad-hoc due diligence questionnaires. The content within the questionnaires varies widely and can touch on all areas of the business such as investment strategies, ESG, diversity and inclusion, trading, performance, compliance, IS and investment risk. The team is responsible for producing various standard and bespoke requests for the Clients Department, and work closely with Client Contacts and Product Specialists to ensure our responses accurately reflect the needs of our clients. Client servicing is key to the culture at Baillie Gifford, and the team play an important role in maintaining the firm's high standards in this area. Full training will be given on our processes and approach, with continuous mentoring and support as you learn the role.Responsibilities The production of high quality, customised due diligence questionnaires (DDQ), which includes but not limited to:
* Arranging initial kick off meetings with Client Contacts and Product Specialists to discuss the requirements of the DDQ
* Manage and develop effective relationships with stakeholders and SMEs across the business, with the aim of creating and maintaining high quality DDQ responses
* Build a strong knowledge of information and data sources to assist in the production of DDQs
* Proactively work on requests from, and build strong relationships with an assigned client region (International, UK or North America)
* Maintain responses within an assigned section of Qvidian, which is an external system that contains all of the firm's standard questionnaire responses, which are used to help in the production of DDQs.
* Proactively contribute ideas, drive change, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.
* Maintain knowledge of current regulatory practice.
* Assist in further department/inter-departmental projects as required
Experience in financial services, and in particular asset management, would be beneficial
* Experience of professional writing or editing, preferably in DDQ, RFP, Reporting or Investment Writing positions
* Good MS Word, Excel skills and knowledge of Qvidian or other content management systems would be helpful but not essential
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise and multi-task different projects with different deadlines
* Comfortable with communicating effectively with different teams around the business
* Able to work under pressure at times, with a positive "can -do" attitude
* Inquisitive mindset, with a proactive approach to sourcing information
* Strong team working skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
