Permanent, Part Time 22.5 hours per week.
Location: Based at B Bond, travel required to hold child in care reviews.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and supportive team as an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) in our Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced social worker who is passionate about the wellbeing of our vulnerable children to join a well-established team of IROs.
You will be responsible for overseeing and quality assuring the care planning and review process for children and young people in the care of the Local Authority. You will chair regular child in care reviews and monitor progress to ensure that care plans promote the best interests of the child, that their wishes and feelings are taken into account and that plans are progressed without delay.
You will build good working relationships with the Local Authority social work teams as well as with CAFCASS and will challenge swiftly and effectively, when required, to achieve positive outcomes for children.
You will demonstrate an ability to communicate with children and young people and their parents and have good inter-personal and written communication skills.
You will need substantial experience in statutory social work with children and families, including management experience and must be registered with Social Work England.
This post requires flexible working and an ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, in return you can expect to be part of a stable and supportive team, receive regular reflective supervision and have access to training and development opportunities.
