Oakfield Surgery, based in Newmarket Hospital, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive care navigator to join our team on a full or part-time basis. The vacancy is for between 20 - 37.5 hours a week, however, this may be negotiable for the right candidate. Flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness. The role will provide administrative support for the general practice and to act as focal point for patients and staff. The main responsibilities of the role include: Greeting and directing patients. Deal with all enquiries, explain procedures and make follow-up appointments. Assist and direct all patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous and effective manner. Handle patient complaints in accordance with practice protocols. Provide an efficient and accurate support to the secretarial team, clinicians & patients. Enter patient information onto the computer as required. About the Candidate Previous experience working within a GP surgery is desirable and t he successful candidate should have the following skills and experience; Be able to work calmly and professionally as part of a team. Have the ability to multi-task. Excellent telephone manner. Excellent verbal communication skills. Good time management skills and the ability to follow protocols and instructions. Attention to detail is essential.
