The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting adults over 18 with severe and enduring mental health conditions. A registration with Social Work England or an appropriate professional body is essential. You must have experience in a health or social care setting and possess excellent communication skills. A self-starter with the ability to work well independently and in partnership with community and external agencies is critical. You should demonstrate an understanding of integrated working and show enthusiasm for engaging effectively with local communities and partners. What the Job Involves As a Mental Health Social Worker, your responsibilities will include undertaking assessments, determining care packages/support plans, and managing complex caseloads aimed at maintaining or improving the wellbeing of clients. You will carry out client assessments, coordinate and arrange care for those with mental health problems, including dementia. Your role will involve engaging with and advising clients within a policy framework, providing professional supervision to colleagues, ensuring timely interventions, and collaborating with health colleagues and external agencies. This position involves hybrid working with 50% of the hours working from home, based in County Hall, Trowbridge with pay starting at £35 umbrella ltd per hour.
