Exams and Registration Officer Hull Salary: £27,159 FTE per annum 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period) As our Exams and Registration Officer, you will provide high quality exam and registration services to the college in related aspects of the function such as registration, examination, in-year and end point assessment, invigilation, verification activity and certification across all college provision types. The post holder will ensure that services within the role are delivered to an exceptional standard, are timely and are responsive to the needs of the business as instructed by the leadership and management team. They will work collectively with curriculum heads to ensure that their related service needs are met. Responsibilities of our Exams and Registration Officer: Support the Exams and Registration Manager in monitoring and maintaining examination standards and Awarding Organisation compliance, and supporting with day-to-day supervision, planning and process improvement. Responsible for a caseload of curriculum areas, or specific streams of work, working proactively with lecturers, students and awarding bodies in respect of examination requirements, entries, results and communication, ensuring accuracy of all qualification and unit data. To co-ordinate the registration, booking, smooth running and administration of all Apprenticeship End Point Assessments (EPA). Liaising with End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAO), Programme Managers and Programme Leads in respect of EPA requirements, entries, results and communications, ensuring the College adheres to all stakeholder regulations Lead on the preparation and management of examinations. Ensure effective planning and organisation of exam timetables, rooming, invigilation, exam materials and communication with students and staff. Oversee the conduct of examinations and the security of papers and scripts to ensure full compliance with JCQ standards and examination board regulations. Support the Exams and Registration Manager in creating and updating exams related policies and procedures, and ensuring effective implementation and compliance Identify discrepancies and areas of non-compliance and work with curriculum managers to ensure exam registration and certification requirements are met and/or escalate accordingly. Provide regular updates to on the completion status of learners and any compliance issues with Awarding Organisations. What we’re looking for in our Exams and Registration Officer: Level 4 or equivalent in an appropriate subject or willing to work towards L2 English and Maths Minimum of two years’ recent experience of working in an office/administration environment Knowledge of the academic standing of national and international qualifications Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel Excellent time management skills and the ability to organise and prioritise work demands to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
