Newstaff Employment Agency is recruiting an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established law firm based in Luton.
This is an office-based role within the Private Client department, providing essential support to solicitors and legal professionals.
Job Title: Legal Secretary – Private Client
Location: Luton
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000 per annum + excellent benefits package
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing secretarial and administrative support to solicitors within the Private Client department
2. Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and reports
3. Managing diaries, appointments, and client correspondence
4. Preparing and formatting legal documents with high accuracy
5. Liaising with clients, solicitors, and external professionals
6. Handling confidential documents and ensuring compliance with legal procedures
7. Assisting in case management, file organisation, and deadline tracking
Skills & Experience Required
1. Previous legal secretarial experience within a solicitors’ firm
2. Fast and accurate audio typing skills
3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
4. Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
5. Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach
6. Legal secretarial qualification would be an advantage
