The role is based in our Stockton office where we recognise the value of hybrid working. Ideally, you will have extensive experience in Pharmaceutical / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industries and extensive technical knowledge and problem solving skills. What We Can Offer Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across emerging energy sectors Flexible working arrangements that balance client, team and individual needs offering some remote working where relevant and appropriate Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion; we are an organisation actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market Flexible benefits package; inclusive of 33 days annual leave (including public holidays), generous contributory pension scheme, private medical cover, 4x base salary life insurance; all of these and more that can be adapted to suit your own lifestyle Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Responsibilities Prepare Civil & Structural models in E3D & TEKLA, including steel frameworks, foundations, culverts, retaining walls Preparation of civil general arrangement drawings and details using AutoCAD Preparation of structural general arrangement drawings and details using AutoCAD Preparation of reinforced concrete layouts, details and bar bending schedules using AutoCAD & CADS RC Preparation of underground layouts, drainage electrical and all other utilities using AutoCAD Prepare and issue drawings in line with project schedule Prepare and issue Hazard Elimination and Risk Reduction Register in accordance with CDM Regulations Liaise with other disciplines in the preparation of models and support requirements Ensure all work to be carried out with a positive attitude towards safety, both in design and in the office environment Provides technical support and guidance to junior designers Checking of drawings/models in accordance with Work Practises, standards and client standards Coordinates with other disciplines as and when required Maintain project familiarisation with the project Discipline Design Instruction Participates on Model Reviews as and when required Report changes to the Lead Designer/Lead Engineer Qualifications HNC in Civil Engineering preferred Previous Experience in Pharmaceutical / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or related industries Extensive experience in E3D including DRAW preferred but not essential Extensive experience in TEKLA is required (optional) Extensive experience in AutoCAD is required Extensive experience of Navisworks Extensive experience in utilising and interrogating laser scan point clouds (LFM & recap format) Working knowledge of drainage design and SuDS is preferable About Us Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
