Job Description
We are currently partnering with a market leading, Life, Pensions and Investment company to recruit an Operational Resilience & Third-Party Risk Manager, where the individual will sit in Group Risk and Compliance team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, to ensure there is implementation of a robust risk management approach and effective control environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Advise senior management in relation to strategic planning and decision-making.
2. Independently oversee and challenge the Group’s strategic and business risk profiles and risk appetite assessments.
3. Provide a formal independent opinion in relation to significant risks.
4. Monitor and report on Group-wide risk exposures compared to risk appetite.
5. Undertake risk-based independent assurance.
6. Facilitate risk management activity by supporting risk related communication and management information flows across the Group.
7. Promote strong risk culture and behaviours across the Group.
The ideal candidate should have:
1. Solid understanding of key legislative and regulatory requirements.
2. Understanding of process, risk and control management and assessment techniques.
3. Understanding and application of the three lines framework, risk management framework, control risk self-assessment process.
4. Good understanding of how the management of operational resilience and third-party risk exposures relate to delivering good customer outcomes.
5. Experience within Insurance or wider Financial Services.
