Looking for a role where you support the timely production of accurate monthly management accounts?
If so, we have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team!
The Impact you will have in this role is:
1. Monthly management accounts process is followed and prepared in line with agreed deadlines.
2. Checks and balances are completed to ensure that the accounts are robust and accurate.
3. Manual journal entries are inputted including preparation of accruals and prepayments.
4. Production of reports for budget holders is supported.
5. Variance analysis is prepared against budget with supporting commentary.
6. Balance sheet reconciliations are maintained to the agreed timetable.
7. Management Accountants are worked with to investigate all discrepancies and perform corrective actions where necessary.
8. Management Accountants and Group Finance Manager are supported with Ad hoc analysis.
9. The annual audit process is assisted with and data for the statutory accounts and other external filings is compiled for the group.
10. Assist with Capex processing / monitoring email inbox.
11. Supporting Management Accountant on Group CAPEX/ depreciation / Management Charges.
12. Producing turnover certificates for retail stores.
13. Future scope to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
As our future Assistant Management Accountant, you will have:
1. A 2:1 in any of the following subjects at degree level: Finance/Accounting, Economics, Mathematics (other scientific subjects may also be considered).
2. Part Qualified Accountant.
3. A keen interest in building a career in Finance.
4. Good organisational skills.
5. Communicates well and is confident to question and challenge where appropriate.
6. Build strong relationships both within Finance and throughout the wider Group.
7. Commitment to completing a professional qualification.
8. Strives to continuously improve.
9. Logical with strong problem-solving skills.
10. Able to manage multiple priorities.
11. Team player who is self-motivated and pro-active in approach.
12. Reinforce and act as an ambassador for the Regatta Company Values.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
