Job Description
SRG are looking for a business analyst to assist with a Workday pay data expansion project for a leading agricultural company based in Bracknell. As part of this role, you will be focused on expanding the usage of allowances and one-time payments in Workday. This role will play a key part in enhancing our HR processes, improving user experience, and increasing standardization across our global operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Data Gathering and Consolidation:
o Collect and consolidate data from various countries regarding current allowances and one-time payment practices
o Analyse existing processes and identify areas for improvement and standardization
o Create comprehensive documentation of current state processes
o Collect and analyse data on transaction volumes, processing times, and error rates
o Create baseline reports to support future benefit realization assessments
2. Process Design Support:
o Assist the Process Lead in developing design principles for the future state process
o Contribute to the creation of process flows, user stories, and functional requirements
o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure new processes meet business needs and Workday capabilities
3. Testing and Quality Assurance:
o Develop detailed test plans and test cases for new functionalities
o Create test templates for various scenarios and user groups
o Coordinate and facilitate testing activities across different teams and regions
o Document and track issues, ensuring proper resolution and retesting
4. Stakeholder Management:
o Liaise between technical teams, HR operations, and business stakeholders
o Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions
o Prepare and deliver presentations to various stakeholder groups
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain project documentation, including requirements, design documents, and process maps
o Support Project Manager producing regular status reports and updates
o Develop user guides and training materials for new processes and functionalities
6. Benefit Realization Support:
o Support design, implementation of mechanisms and analysis to track post-implementation process metrics
o Prepare benefit realization reports comparing baseline metrics to post-implementation results
Experience and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or related field
* 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in HR technology projects
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in process mapping and requirements gathering techniques
* Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with global HR projects involving multiple countries and regions
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies
* Familiarity with HR processes, particularly in compensation and payroll areas
