1. Patient Care:
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
* Help maintain patient comfort and dignity during care.
* Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or mental conditions to the nursing or medical team.
2. Clinical Support:
* Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
* Assist in basic wound care, catheter care, and other clinical tasks as directed by the supervising nurse.
* Support patients with prescribed exercises or therapy sessions.
3. Administrative Duties:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
* Ensure patient rooms are clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
* Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients.
4. Emotional Support:
* Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
* Engage patients in recreational activities or light exercises as appropriate.
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families, offering reassurance and guidance.
5. Compliance and Safety:
* Follow infection control and hygiene protocols, including handwashing and wearing appropriate PPE.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations.
* Report incidents or accidents promptly to the relevant authority.
6. Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
* Provide support during emergency situations, such as assisting with CPR or other first-aid measures.
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
