Assembly & Test Technician Location: Stroud Hours: Full-time, permanent, day shift (early finish Friday) Salary: £27,200 - £31,232 per annum excellent benefits Job Purpose: Ensure that products are produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality, quantity, and cost; and that they are assembled & tested on time. Key Responsibilities of an Assembly & Test Technician: Mechanical assembly of products using various assembly aids and tooling. Conducting product testing using high-pressure test cells. Ensuring all products are built and tested according to provided procedures, without deviation. Taking responsibility for quality, ensuring products are free from contamination or damage. Maintaining high standards and supporting a culture of 5S plus Safety. Working to set priorities as determined by production supervision. Monitoring build and test cycle times, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor. Assisting with additional assembly department tasks as required. Upholding 5S standards, including maintaining clean test equipment and assembly tooling. Key Skills of an Assembly & Test Experience in high-pressure test cells and valve testing. Knowledge of working with Duplex and Nickel Alloy materials. Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Familiarity with pressure gauging and chart recorders. Good numerical and literacy skills. Proficient in MS Office applications, email, and internet
