Our client is one of the leading manufacturers in the design of various valves for tank containers. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role is a NIGHTS-based role with a shift pattern of:

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (EME)
Department: Maintenance
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Working as part of the Maintenance Team, as one of the Electrical Maintenance Engineers (EME) you will be responsible for maintaining high quality electrical installations, repairs and maintenance to machinery and around the site. The role demands EME’s to fully understand production practice and operations to successfully support these departments and undertake various planned maintenance tasks, projects and new installations in order to achieve a high level of service delivery.
The main tasks of the role are outlined below:
1. Fault-finding during production.
2. Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
3. Assessing the need for spare parts.
4. Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
5. Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect.
6. Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation,pany policy andpany procedures.
7. Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
8. Support other teams and functions as required by the business.
9. Undertake self-development activities as required by the business.
10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by thepany.
11. Liaise with a Coordinator to establish requirements.
12. Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies.
13. Contribute to continuing improvement of the factory equipment and maintenance.
14. Maintain a safe and clean working environment byplying with procedures, rules and regulations.
15. Work to lean theory.
16. Observe and practice the 5S principles.
17. Useputer equipment for data purposes.
The role also includes other general duties to maintain the efficient working of the department. The above list of tasks is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake duties as may be reasonably expected. All employees are required to be flexible and co-operative in order to assist in meeting business needs.
EME’s support other departments and work with external professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant and production processes. Possessing a strong ability to analyse, resolve and implement solutions through solid problem-solving techniques, the EME will alwaysmunicate with other departments to ensure process control, conformity and production effectiveness, when and where required.
The role also vitally needs the EME to encourage, motivate and ultimately support apprentices' Skills and abilities

What you'll need to succeed
Experience/Knowledge:
35. Previous experience of working in similar environment with similar role responsibilities.
36. A good working knowledge and understanding of factory processes and technology.
37. Previous experience of working towards improving and maintaining quality standards.
38. Knowledge of PLC AC drives and servo drives.
39. Familiar with all types of Factory equipment including CNC machines, Conventional machines and associated plant.
40. Familiar with planned and preventive maintenance.
41. Knowledge of robots would be advantageous.
42. Multi-skilled in basic mechanical practices.
43. Welding Skills would be preferred.
44. Foundry experience is desirable. Qualifications
45. Must be a time served engineer (or have an equivalent qualification).
46. UK driving licence is essential.
