Managerial responsibilities: Contribute to the development of Trust strategy, place-based and Trust planning, policy and decision making activity. Lead the development of strategic transformation plans within the Trust and local Place[1]based economy ensuring appropriate engagement of clinicians and service users as well as operational and corporate colleagues. Interpret national, regional and local health and social care policy and strategic plans into a local context in relation to primary, community and secondary care. Lead the development of the Trust wide operating plan which supports short, medium and long term aims addressing local and national priorities and incorporating strategic and operational objectives. Provide leadership and support in the development of large and complex business cases and procurement bids. Ensure the Trust has a robust, widely understood, clearly articulated, planning system and process that appropriately engages all parts of the organisation and relevant external and which meets all statutory and regulatory requirements. Effectively manage the planning system and process including the development and implementation/completion of a clear, mutually agreed process for the development and review of Divisional and corporate business plans to feed into the overarching Trust and healthcare system plans and monitoring process. Development and maintenance of constructive and effective partnership relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders (NHS, Local Authority, Developers, Commercial Organisations etc.). Ensure that the Trust has a clear strategy for partnering for commercial development Ensure the Trust has a robust process in place for identifying and bidding for development opportunities through competitive tenders.
