A niche Investment Management firm is hiring an experienced Investment Implementation Programme Manager to join their business on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. The role will work closely with the COO and key departments across the business. The position requires a minimum of 2 days a week in the Sheffield office.
Main Responsibilities
1. Act as a key link between Investment strategy and its implementation and owning the end-to-end implementation delivery.
2. Provide business-wide executional certainty over an existing and future programme of investment implementation by acting as the sole Project Manager and ensuring the right methodology is in place to monitor and guide progress.
3. Maintain an overall master programme management plan across investment implementation, including key deliverables and timeframes, leveraging this master plan to track and oversee progress against delivery.
4. Where relevant, act as the direct PM for specific work packages where complex planning and execution is required, taking direct ownership for delivery.
5. Run regular engagement calls across the programme, including Executive level Steering Committees, regular Investment Team Programme Design Groups, and Working Groups.
6. Liaise with key stakeholders and work package owners, including across the investment team and external 3rd parties to drive delivery.
7. Ensure effective escalation of programme blockers, including proactive management of actions required to unblock, which may include items for Exec / Investment Team input or decision-making.
8. Working closely with the Investment Operations team to bring together the overall view of the programme for relevant stakeholders, including colleagues working on Cash Management, Reporting, Legal and others as relevant.
Job Requirements:
9. Strong bias towards action and be able to clearly demonstrate delivery and execution of programmes of this nature.
10. Experience in Pensions, Asset Management or Insurance highly desirable but not essential.
11. Experience of rolling out and project managing business wide implementation/transformation programmes.
12. Base knowledge of pensions/investment industry, markets and asset types.
13. Clear and evident project management experience of this nature.
14. Strong analytical skills coupled with high level of proficiency in Excel.
15. Strong financial acumen, comfortable with financial data.
