Role Purpose: To grow and develop the London City Lionesses via marketing initiatives that develop the club brand, profile and long term fanbase. This is a new position within the business, so the responsibilities are not set in stone. We need someone who can jump in, get things done and work with the team to shape the future of the club. Responsibilities: 1) Fanbase Growth and Engagement Grow the club brand and profile – increase awareness across key moments and milestones throughout the season. Adopt a data driven fanbase growth strategy to increase and sustain matchday attendances throughout the season. 2) Brand Development Work with the Director of Marketing & Commercial to develop and launch a refreshed brand for LCL working with external agencies that builds the LCL brand into one of the most exciting and differentiated brands in London and UK women’s football. Adopt a data-driven approach to audience understanding. Ensure club has a methodical approach to the collection and analysis of audience data to drive insights that will help grow the club fan base and deepen engagement 3) Marketing Initiatives Create and develop a season long marketing plan with a focus on driving growth throughout the fan engagement funnel (from awareness to attendance) to identified target audiences Devise and implement events and initiatives which appeal to your target fan audiences and encourages matchday attendance. Manage agents and third parties where relevant (design, creative, media, social media). Develop, implement, and evaluate campaign activations at key moments of impact throughout the season (Fixture Launch, Season launch, Women's Football Weekend, End of Season plus others) Manage campaign performance and track outcomes to understand the effectiveness of initiatives and drive continuous improvement and to support application for club budget and funding Deliver excellent ticketing marketing plans, working with other internal teams where relevant, to ensure tickets are on sale suitably in advance of fixtures, ensure outstanding communication pre and post games and that processes are set up to build a strong ticketing database Support the Leagues OpCo marketing team to deliver joint objectives around awareness, attendance, viewership and following. Organise and oversee Personal Appearances to drive awareness of the Club locally and nationally Engage with players and encourage participation in marketing, branding, and community activities Manage the marketing budget 4) Matchday Create and implement match-day experiences for fans – monitor their success throughout the season through fan surveys Attend all Home Matches for the Club (on evenings and weekends, and only where fans are in attendance) to oversee the match-day experiences for fans and gauge fan reaction. Work collaboratively with the County Association to engage local girls' clubs with pre-match / half time activities for young people Critical Experience 4 years experience working in high profile brand or marketing roles with proven success. A demonstrated love for women’s football, and commitment to the growth of the game. Insight led creativity, with a love for measuring impact and refining approaches. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Demonstrated solutions focused and able to work under pressure with own initiative Strong digital experience across CRM and Paid Media. A Marketing qualification (e.g., CIM Diploma) The postholder should be open to travel and working weekends and weeknights (mainly to attend football matches).
