SHEQ Advisor
Our client, a prominent leader in the power utilities sector, is seeking a skilled SHEQ Advisor to ensure the highest standards of health and safety compliance across various power distribution and energy projects. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity for individuals dedicated to safety in the high-stakes energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting safety audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
Facilitating inductions and toolbox talks (TBT) briefings to promote safety awareness
Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures
Reviewing and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Ensuring compliance with regulations such as PAT Testing & NERS / ISO standards
Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site, with regular visits to project locations across the UK
Providing first aid and emergency response training to team members
Job Requirements:
Understanding of health and safety standards in the utilities, Highways or Civil Engineering sector
CSCS card and CITB Health & Safety Awareness certification
Emergency First Aid qualification
IOSH certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with NEBOSH certification, auditing, and mental health first aid (desirable)
