Job Description
Innovative electrolysis and fuel cell company looking for a senior electrical design engineer to contribute to the electrical and power electronic design of their products.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development of fuel cell and electrolyser stack designs.
* Design electrical networks for grid-connected systems (both AC and DC).
* Produce electrical architecture drawings, high-level wiring schematics, and supporting documentation.
* Manage electrical design materials and documentations to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage, review, and approve the design and delivery of work by electrical contractors/installers.
* Provide technical advice and ensure electrical designs meet national and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NFPA).
* Mitigate project risks and ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted.
* Support electrical aspects of system installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Skills required:
* Qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Practical and theoretical knowledge of electrical systems, including MW-scale power generation and AC/DC distribution.
* Experience with grid connections and knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
* Hands-on experience with system design, including cable sizing, protection device selection, and interfacing with control systems (e.g., PLCs, microcontrollers).
* Proficient in power system modeling tools such as ETAP, EPLAN, MATLAB, and others.
* Strong organizational, time management, communication, and report-writing skills.
* A positive, problem-solving mindset, especially in R&D and prototype development environments.
