As part of exciting growth, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations Team based in Zurich. The primary purpose of the ME is to support the Manufacturing Team with technical expertise to overcome issues and ensure a quality product is delivered to schedule.
What we are looking for:
1. A master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics.
2. Advanced knowledge in Mechanical Assemblies, Mechatronics and Metrology.
3. Ability to utilise structured problem-solving methodologies.
Advantageous:
1. Knowledge in nanoindentation, atomic force microscopy, vacuum systems or electron microscopy.
2. Experience of using ERP/MRP systems such as production routings and BOM Structures.
3. Knowledge of Project Management techniques.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support the Manufacturing Team with technical expertise to overcome issues and ensure a quality product is delivered to schedule.
2. Review and measure current manufacturing processes and implement improvements.
3. Ensure New Product Introductions (NPI) & engineering changes are implemented effectively and both product & processes are repeatable.
4. Create and maintain manufacturing shop floor documentation for new and existing products in alignment with company standards.
5. Create and improve inspection checklists, test protocols and other quality system documents.
6. Become a process expert for critical business processes and technologies. Openly share knowledge and experience with colleagues and provide training and guidance for other engineers.
