Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon looking for an awesome work-life balance, with no OOH, an incredibly loyal client base and a warm, friendly, well-bonded team ready and waiting for you? Would you like to work somewhere where your opinions matter, your ideas are accounted for, and your voice is heard? Would you like your office view and lunchtime walks to be the glorious green fields of rural Gloucestershire? How about working somewhere with easy access to other major cities, making this role great for commuters? There really are fields on your doorstep, so ensuring you get time to enjoy some fresh air each day will not be a problem?
Are you looking for a role as a Vet where you can develop clinically and as a leader? This team has a new Clinical Director who is keen to develop/mentor the next Vet into becoming a Senior, helping them with their career growth & development.
Our client is looking for a progressive, dedicated, all-round GP vet to continue the excellent care delivered to their clients with the support of a fantastic nursing team. You will have a real opportunity to establish yourself as the local vet and continue to contribute to an already very strong reputation in the local area. They welcome new ideas from all colleagues; this is your practice, and they want you to be a part of it all and to be happy there.
With access to a tier 3 hospital just a short drive up the road who also provide the OOH care, you can have total confidence in providing a range of services to meet the needs of your patients and clients.
This is a single site practice who are very fortunate to have a beautiful countryside base whilst being just a very short drive from J13/J14 of the M5. The clinic is based in a beautiful small town on the edge of the Cotswolds and are easily commutable from Gloucester, Bristol, and Cheltenham.
There is a busy and varied first opinion caseload to support 2 full time equivalent vets and are extremely well supported by an experienced RVN team and loyal reception team. Their clients are extremely well-bonded and engaged with the practice. They work closely with other practices within the larger group and so there is excellent opportunity for additional exposure to caseload, equipment and a wealth of colleague to colleague support. They are a fun and caring team and enjoy socialising in their spare time. The local pizza and bakery options have been thoroughly tried and tested; you won’t be let down. They have a great practice culture, with fantastic and supporting Vets.
They encourage those wanting to pursue other opportunities such as being a mentor/mentee. There’s a generous CPD allowance for those wanting to expand their skills and study and can be a supportive environment for those wishing to delve into other progression opportunities, as and when an opportunity may arise.
Ideally, this is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, across 4 or 5 days (Mon-Fri). If you are after a 4-day week, you will be on a 1:4 weekend rota at another nearby branch which is an RCVS accredited hospital. However, a part-time position would be considered. The client is keen and open to explore flexible working hours for the right person to work around any other commitments you have and encourages you to propose what you are after.
