Pay scale
Grade D Points 6 to 8 (£25,183 to £25,992 Full Time Equivalent). The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £17,187.97.
What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential:
1. GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in both English and Maths (C)
2. Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these (A/I/R)
3. Good communication skills both oral and written (A/I/R)
4. Experience of working with young people, preferably in a school setting (A/I)
5. Ability to use a range of technology to support the role (A/I)
6. Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders (A/I)
7. Ability to work constructively as part of a team (A/I/R)
Desirable:
1. Completion of DfES Teacher Assistant NVQ Level 3, or equivalent (A/C)
2. Working with or caring for children of relevant age (A/I)
3. Understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these (A/I)
4. Emergency First Aid or First aid at work qualification (C)
5. Previous experience of working with young people preferably in a school setting (A/I)
