Job description The Motor Transport Authorised Demading Officer (ADO)/ Unit Licensing Officer (ULO) is a key role within the usage of the MT vehicle fleets, providing crucial support functions underpinning the outputs of CLR. Your enthusiasm and professional standards are essential to ensuring servicing and safety inspections of vehicles is done on time, keeping our people safe and policy complaint issue and receipt of vehicles and equipment. You will be working with a small and adaptable team, your contribution will directly affect the wider group, allowing us to continue to provide essential output to the RM. You will be a vital link between the Motor Transport Regulators, the MT CSgt Admin and MTO so strong communication skills and a personable demeanour will be vital for liaising all parties. The Civilian ADO/ULO is essential to the smooth and effective running of the MT Department and the wider Regiment, the post holders position and contribution is highly valued by the team. Person specification The Post requires the holder to deal daily with personnel within a unit therefore needs to possess good verbal and written communication skills. We work in high pace close-knit teams, hence key personnel skills are drive, and ability to organise own working day adjusting priorities as needed support and sustain the daily running of the department. You will be responsible for ensuring you stay up to date and trained on current, this is key to your role in managing the fleet of vehicles and managing license aquisition. You will be responsible for collating information and paperwork pertaining to the use of the vehicle fleet to keep the MTO and wider Regiment informed on policy updates. You will be expected to liaise directly with MOD counterparts and civilian partners to achieve of activity while maintaining the road legal requirements of the fleet, this will often include booking vehicles into civilian garages for and services, regularly you will also be required to book and issue hire cars when fleet vehicles are not available. The Candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to build relationships across the team, the Departments we work to, and external partners.
